When months of preparation come down to a few minutes on stage, it takes a dance friend to understand you.
Dance is a world of “critical” feedback. No matter how far you’ve come there’s always so much further to go. A dance friend understands this because it is his or her reality too.
When you are ready to take the stage and in complete silence you hear your closest friends screaming your name, mindfully you know that your best friend is the one disrupting the silence. There is no sweeter noise than hearing your friends cheering you on.
During awards as you’re waiting for your results, a dance friend understands your stress. He or she knows that you wonder if you let your coaches down, or your teammates. Dance friends truly understand that a single moment in time can mean so much. They are always there for the ups and downs pushing each other to get better and better for the next competition
A dance friend will always be there with and for you. When weekends turn into extra rehearsals or convention and competitions, he or she will be there to share the memories. When your at practice and whether you're having a good or bad day they're there for you.
There are so many little reasons that makes this friendship so special. For me, there is no better friend than a dance friend.
