I remember the day I first saw what Team Sugar was on Instagram. A couple of my teammates were Teamsugar Ambassadors and they had started posting about Sugarhaul and Sugar Sisters. All sorts of fun posts were coming through. I immediately thought “Hey, this is something I would like to do!”
So, I applied, got accepted and was excited for the next steps. I worked with my Mom and Studio Directors to come up with interesting posts that I thought my Instagram friends would like to see. It was a blast!
What I didn’t see coming was what happened next. Teamsugar had its own support group. We would message each other when we posted, asking for a like or comment here and there. All was awesome! However, as time went on and we got to know each other the comments started to mean something greater to me. I knew I had friends out there cheering for me. They were really excited for my achievements and there was meaning behind their support.
#Sugarsister soon did not just mean a #hashtag but was a REAL thing. A support group of girls, dancers, FRIENDS that I could go to when I needed them.
XOXO, your sugar sister,
Alexa
