I’d like to share some tips for preparing for a photo shoot. First be sure to get a good night’s sleep. The day of your photo shoot be sure you are stretched. Stretch your legs, back, arms, stretch everything you can. You will not have time to stretch at the location, so you need to be prepared and ready to go. Next, be sure to bring water, especially if it’s hot and a few easy snacks if you get hungry. Make sure you have all your outfit’s packed, and bring makeup for retouches, also bring flip flops for easy on and off access. Another really helpful tool to bring along would be a portable changing station, if you don’t have one a blanket or towel will also do. Most of the time you are walking between locations and will have to change outside. So, these portable changing stations, blankets or towels really come in handy. Another helpful tip, would be to have dance poses in mind. Look through Instagram for dance pictures and poses you really like and are able to do. You could also screen shot them to show the photographer. You could even practice the poses at home, that way you know the poses will look exactly how you want them to. One of the most important things to bring is a pack of baby wipes to wipe your feet. Your feet will get very dirty walking between locations, and it is very hard to edit out dirty feet. Lastly, be sure to have fun, smile and enjoy your photo shoot. Thanks for reading.
Love,
Janae
