As a young dancer one thing I love about competitions is the makeup! I mean, at 11, I am not allowed to wear makeup just about every day so it’s pretty exciting! I’m doing my best to be pretty independent at applying my own makeup so I thought I’d pass along my routine.
First, find a great shade of foundation and powder to match your skin shade. I have Iighter and darker shades depending on the season in the year. First, I apply the foundation lightly with a brush or beauty blender. Then I go over lightly with powder. I then use a bronzer powder overall. Blend in a little blush and a favorite highlight above the cheekbone.
Next, I tackle my eyes. I use a bright highlight shadow first for above the eyelid but below the brow. Then I use my main color for the eyelid. Last, I use a special crease brush and crease my eyelid with a darker shade. To finish, I prefer a liquid eyeliner for underneath my bottom lashes. If you use false lashes, this is the time to apply them. I still need help on this step. Finish off the eyes with a light brush of mascara.
Last, is the lips. I use a lip liner first, and then I use it to lightly color in my lips. This way I only need a dab of lipstick to blend together. I top it off with a dab of gloss. When it’s all done use a matte finishing spray to set the makeup and make it last longer. My Sugarhaul has supplied me with many tools to use in my makeup process!
I hope this helps you to try your own too,
