A Dancer's Guide to Standing Out - By - Emme James Anderson

Hi! This is Emme James! I want to give you my advice of how to stand out at conventions!

You need to put on some makeup, but not too much. Just a little powder, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, lip-gloss, and “LOTS OF SPARKLES AND GLITTER”!!! Pull your hair up in a cute pony. Maybe even put a braid on the side, or even a neat clean bun. It needs to be out of your face.

To be seen you need a bright leo, fitted dance pants or a two-piece, UNLESS for hip-hop, you need some Adidas or Nike shoes, jogging pants, sweat shirts, jackets, crop tops, and a hat or hoodie.

To be seen, stay in the front. It’s okay if you are not exact center but just try.

You need to get warm and stretched before class starts.

PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS. Don’t talk to friends unless you have free time. You want to show faces and emotion and stank faces.

The last thing is BE YOU and don’t care want anyone thinks! Let go and be loose and free because at that moment you are not on stage and being judged so again BE YOU!  And most importantly, HAVE FUN!
XOXO,
Emme James
